Description

I found this great motor mount for the Pastamatic designed my GekoPrime https://makerworld.com/en/u/939085589. However I found that the motor pretty much ground to a halt when the spool was about 75% full. Not enough power to handle the weight. So I doubled the power! It now runs smooth and fast. Also the motors don't heat up now because they aren't struggling with the weight.

This winds a bit slow. Takes quite a long time to wind a spool. Any way to speed it up Maybe slightly bigger gears on the motors?

Unfortunately due to the size of the pastamatic gears, this is the biggest that the motor gears can get. But you can buy motors with a higher rpm.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up getting some 24v 300rpm motors and these seem to be doing the trick.

can you upload that modified bracket that stops the spool from jumping out ?

Sorry I'm just seeing this now. I added it. It's actually quite weak and I've had to reprint it a few times. I have plans for something better but just haven't gotten around to coming up with the design. When I do it I'll add it here.
