Description

This is a Cheap Yellow Display case. its my version that I needed and it turned out really well for me and I'd like to share this with anyone else that does not need all the “extra” features.

So this has the CYD board, a battery and a USB-C charging port within it. the functions i wanted it to have was to have access to the micro USB connector, Restart and Boot buttons on the back of it and the SD card slot. It also has a power switch on the side.

I made the strap out of leather, now I thought that not everyone would do this part so I made the leather strap the same size as a typical leather mens belt. and I also assumed that some might want the strap longer or shorter, so work the belt through the case and bring both ends out of the top of it and then cut the ends to the length you need and then all you need to do is cut the circles out of it to fit through the alignment holes and screw the upper strap together.

The two pins will be your boot and restart buttons, there is a subtle flat edge on them, put those two edges together when you set them in place so they will fit in at the same time. the next “bracket” looking part is a battery restraint and it also puts a slight pressure on the the charging board to keep it from coming loose and also the power switch. Crude, I know but very effective. that bracket is held down by 3 screws and those 3 screws I did not use heat inserts for as I didn't feel it was needed, simply just use screws that will bite into the plastic and don't over tighten.

once all that is in place and you put the CYD in place, the micro USB fits really nicely so you can't set it into place from the top, you have to slide the micro USB into it then rest the board down.

I HAVE EVERYTHING LAYED ON THE PLATE IN SUCH A WAY THAT NO SUPPORTS ARE NEEDED. ( any printing issues around the piece that the leather belt wraps around on the case will be completely hidden by the leather, but if you like to add supports you will need to add them for that spot)

ALSO ITS NOT 100% NEEDED BUT IF YOUR HAVING ALIGNMENT ISSUES WITH THE MATING SURFACES, TRY IRONING TOP MOST SURFACES. I have printed it successfully both ways. I just think it fits just slightly better ironed.

If your building this I image you have soldering skills. if you need some guidance I may be able to help but I do not check this all the time and i may take awhile to respond but I will if I see the message.
