  • Instant Presets & Infinite Dimensions: Choose from 5 optimized presets (small square, tall narrow, flat wide, etc.) or select ‘custom’ to input your exact length, width, and height in millimeters.
  • Smart Stacking Styles: Choose between flush (features a clean recessed bottom skirt) or support_free (uses a 45-degree mathematically optimized lip that requires absolutely zero support material).
  • Dynamic Internal Dividers: Easily sort small parts by adding intersecting X and Y divider walls. You can even adjust their height percentage (divider_height_percent) to make retrieving small items easier!
  • Custom Text Labels: Enable text_enable to engrave or emboss up to two lines of custom text directly onto the front wall. Perfect for labeling screw sizes or crafting supplies. The algorithm automatically scales the spacing!

🧠 Behind the Design (For Makers & Moderators)

Creating a robust stackable box generator that does not fail in the slicer requires highly optimized code. Instead of using standard boolean shapes that often leave micro-gaps, this model utilizes a custom rounded_box_advanced module. This module dynamically builds the hull out of mathematically precise cylinders and chamfered profiles.

The stacking tolerances (tolerance and tolerance_z) are calculated independently for horizontal expansion and vertical layer compression. The support-free stacking profile cleverly computes a 45-degree transitional hull at the top lip, meaning you can print massive, interlocking storage systems without wasting a single gram of filament on support structures.

 

🖨️ Print Settings:

  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS (PETG is great if storing heavy metal hardware).
  • Layer Height: 0.20mm or 0.28mm for fast, structural prints.
  • Supports: STRICTLY NONE. Ensure your stacking style is set to support_free if you want the absolute easiest printing experience.
  • Infill: 10% to 15% (Gyroid) is perfect.
  • Walls: Set wall loops to 3 to ensure the interlocking lips are extremely durable.
