Flame-themed display base designed for the Charizard model scaled to 70%, allowing its paws to fit correctly into the structure and achieve a scenic side pose with wings suspended above the base.

The base was designed to improve the stability and aesthetics of the model, creating a dynamic and much more aggressive effect when displayed.

⚠️ The base can also be used with other Charizard models, but it is important to first check the measurements and paw distance to ensure that the supports align correctly.

⚙️ File structure

The project consists of 2 printing plates:

🔹 Plate 1

  • Charizard flame base

For the base, I used filament:

  • ZIRO Multicolor Translucent Multicolor orange-red filament

🔹 Plate 2

  • Central support cylinder

For the cylinder, I used filament:

  • Translucent white glow in the dark PLA

Furthermore, to achieve the spiral effect on the bottom, I used the following infill pattern:

  • Archimedean Curves

This creates a very distinctive circular/spiral texture on the bottom part of the cylinder, further enhancing the final aesthetic of the project.

🖨️ Printing settings used

For printing, I used:

  • Quality profile 0.20
  • 2 walls
  • 6% infill
  • Supports enabled for proper base creation

The entire project was printed using a:

  • smooth plate

to obtain a clean and uniform bottom surface.

🎨 Filament used

For the flame base, I used a multicolor/gradient PLA, which automatically creates truly spectacular fire effect gradients without the need for painting.

The final result can vary greatly depending on the chosen filament, so I recommend experimenting with PLA gradient or multicolor for even more unique and dynamic effects.
