Description
Bristle Worm Trap
Keep your reef tank safe from pests with this highly effective, Bristle Worm Trap. Designed with efficiency and ease of use in mind, this trap lets you catch unwanted pests without disrupting your aquarium's ecosystem.
How It Works
The trap features three interlocking internal cones with narrow openings.
- Easy Entry, No Escape: Worms are drawn in by the scent of bait, but the cone shape makes it incredibly difficult for them to find their way back out.
- Smart Bait Compartment: Includes a designated square bait area at the bottom to keep your food secure and the worms concentrated in one spot.
- Sliding Lid: The sleek top lid easily slides open for quick baiting and effortless cleaning.
Print Settings & Tips
- Material: PETG is highly recommended for aquarium use. Avoid standard PLA, as it can degrade over time in saltwater.
- Infill: 100%
Supports: Not required. The internal cones are designed with angles that print cleanly without supports.
How to Use
- Bait the Trap: Slide open the lid and place a piece of smelly food (like a shrimp pellet, piece of clam, or frozen food) into the square compartment.
- Submerge: Slowly lower the trap into your tank at night (when bristle worms are most active). Tip it slightly underwater to let any trapped air bubbles escape so it sinks to the bottom.
- Positioning: Place it on the sand bed near the rocks where you usually see the worms.
- Harvest: In the morning, pull the trap out, slide the lid open, and rinse out the captured worms.
