Last Minute Mother’s Day 3D Printed Pop-Up Card

This project is my 3D printed interpretation of a beautiful rotating pop-up card design for Mother’s Day. Instead of using folded paper, I recreated the mechanism and artwork as a fully printable display card that opens into a layered floral centerpiece.

You can customize the text in Bambu studio.

This is perfect as a last minute mother's day card! It requires 1h 48min printing time and about 10 mins for assembly with superglue!

When closed, the card looks compact and elegant with a circular window showing part of the floral design and lettering. Once opened, the inner pop-up section unfolds and reveals the full “Happy Mother’s Day” message surrounded by roses and decorative leaves.

The contrast between the matte black frame and the red/green floral elements gives it a very clean and gift-like appearance, especially when printed with dual-color or AMS setups.

This is not a direct copy of the paper template — it is my own 3D printable adaptation inspired by the original concept and redesigned to work as a printed mechanical pop-up card.

Assembly

The card consists of the outer frame and the internal rotating/pop-up centerpiece. Depending on your printer tolerances, some light cleanup or sanding around moving areas may help achieve smoother movement.
