📦 Gridfinity Stackable Drawer System - Parametric Version

This is a drawer-style storage system that adheres to the Gridfinity standard and supports stable vertical stacking. The model consists of two main parts: the Outer Case and the Inner Drawer

This is a Parametric Version. By entering the width, length, and height values, a 3MF file will be generated according to Gridfinity specifications

  • Width (X) / Length (Y): 1U = 42 mm
  • Height (Z): 1U = 7 mm

✨ Key Features

  • Stable Vertical Stacking: Cases and drawers printed with the same width/length can be stacked vertically without wobbling. An arrow indicator (↑) is printed inside the case to show the upright orientation, though the design is versatile enough for alternative uses

  • Anti-Fall Stopper: You may feel a slight resistance when first inserting the drawer into the case. Simply apply even pressure to both sides to push it in. This "stopper" structure is designed to prevent the drawer from accidentally falling out and spilling its contents

  • Click-Lock Mechanism: When closing the drawer, a final gentle push will result in a satisfying "click." This ensures the drawer stays securely closed and won't slide open on its own

  • Gridfinity Compatibility: The drawer interior is designed to house a baseplate (4.4 mm height). You can organize various Gridfinity bins inside. For the best fit, use bins that match the height of your drawer. *Note: Baseplates and bins are not included in this model

  • Handle & Emergency Access: You can open the drawer by inserting a finger into the front hole. If internal bins block the front hole, use the access hole at the back of the case to push the drawer open with a small rod or tool

    .

  • Labeling Area: There is a dedicated recessed area on the front of the drawer for attaching labels to help organize your parts

🛠 Print & Usage Guide

Print Settings:

  • Orientation: Print the Case with its back face on the heatbed. Print the Drawer with its bottom face on the heatbed. If these orientations are followed, no supports are required

  • Brim: A brim is not necessary. The model includes built-in anti-warping structures to ensure bed adhesion

Usage Tips:

  • The tolerances between the case and drawer are tight. If it feels too stiff initially, slide the drawer in and out about 10 times to "break it in" for smoother operation
  • The anti-fall stopper and click-lock may feel tight at first. Use repeated movements to smooth them out. Note: Excessive repetition over a long period may eventually wear down these functional parts

📏 Size Information

  • The minimum value for Width and Height in this Parametric version is 2
  • If you need a 1x1 size drawer, please download the pre-made files attached to this model
  • Dimensions are represented as Width(X) x Length(Y) x Height(Z) units
