Description

No need to look for a tool to release PFTE from the Filament Buffer. Install this into the Filament Buffer and it stays put. Just press to release the PFTE tube. Snaps in place and can be removed if needed.

The one small support did throw it off, so I had to reprint it but overall very good quality works great!

No supports are required if you follow the Print Profile and use a well prepared PEI Textured plate and your PLA is properly dried. Glad you got a good print in the end. I am not sure what the issue is but my PEI build plate is brand new as well as the x1 carbon I was using for this print. It’s been printing out all other prints fine it might’ve had something to do with the fact that I was using 166% print speed.

On a small item like this with a small contact area on the plate you can't run 166% print speed. Also, just because the print plate is new, doesn't mean it is properly prepared. It needs to be cleaned with soap (I use Dawn dish soap) and then dried and cleaned with IPA. Also, on small items, like this, Bambu Labs glue stick is helpful.

The clips on these printed in this orientation are incredibly fragile. I broke them all immediately when taking off the bed as I didn’t realize they’d be so weak. I ended up going with a simpler model without clips since for how often I’ll use it there’s no need for anything fancy.

It's not the model. With over 1,600 prints and a near perfect 5.0 rating it's your filament and how you were removing them from the plate. The filament has to be dry and of a good quality PLA or PETG. When removing it form the plate, don't grab them at the clips. They are not designed to withstand the kind of forces it can take to remove a well adhered print. I've had them on multiple printers and removed them hundreds of times and not a single one has broken. This is consistent with the experience 1,600 other users are having.

While I agree I could baby them to avoid them breaking. It's an inherently weak design given the necessary print orientation. I'll make my own that don't have this flawed design but still have a clip action.

Works great with the normal filament buffer. does not work with the AMS hub because the hub has smaller holes.

@user_3224202111 Thank you for the reply and information on the AMS Hub. As they say, "To assume is to be disappointed." I assumed BL would have used the same diameter hole on the AMS Hub as they did on the single Filament Buffer. The housing thickness appears the same and so did the hole. But, not having a AMS Hub I wasn't able to measure to confirm. If you can put caliper on it I'd be happy to make one specifically for the AMS Hub. Also, would I need to reduce the diameter of the push part of the button to not interfere with the adjacent buttons in the Hub?
