Description

Layer height form 0.1-0.2mm work fine. Do not add support. There are two small supports already there under the double-conical rotor for support as it's printing, just remove those after.

After printing gently-ish work the rotor around, back and forth until it spins from blowing through. I used a small screwdriver from underneath to add a bit of pressure to work the parts in a bit. After it spins by blowing through, a small dot of oil added to the shaft area from the bottom will help it spin well.

Print turned out well besides the spinning part being stuck. This is not a huge deal as I just used a pliers to break it free but it took some messing to get it to spin freely. I ended up putting some oil in it and using an air compressor to spin it over. It works but isn’t as loud as I thought but I like how it sounds like a turbo with a blowoff valve. This is not the profiles part but just the design.

Printed perfectly the first time in Elegoo Rapid PETG. The tolerance is really tight so it took a little working to get the insides spinning, but it works just fine with a little work

Might be my printer/settings. could spin the turbine bit manually with a screwdriver, slowly. added lubrication as instructed. Keeps hanging up on the wall, barely comleting one rotation.

since you can rotate it manually, you'll be able to work it free with some more effort. keep at it - you'll have it working soon!

what went wrong for your print? someone else recently rated this at 1 star, but i can't find that review to reply to it again ... for them it sounded like the built-in supports failed and they got spaghetti under the main body. did that happen to you as well? if so, i might try adding slicer-based supports in that same region.

no it printed fine, almost like the support or the print stuck, after about 2hrs of moving the part that spins it still won’t spin freely even tried a little oil still didn’t help, printed twice

I see, sounds like an issue with the model rather than the profile. not much I can do to help there aside from describe my own efforts to get mine working: I spent a couple hours too as I recall, spinning the moving part by hand. I used mineral oil and the eraser end of a wooden pencil. I was just about to fire up my air compressor for some help when it finally started working...
