Description

This is a 3D printed model of a 3D rendering from a image stack of a confocal laser scanning microscope. The DNA is stained with Hoechst a fluorescent blue dye that is exited with UV light. This is a nucleus shortly before division, the so callad prophase. The DNA is condensing and the chromosomes become visible as individual pathches of paired chromosomes. During division the paired chromosomes will be seperated.

An AMS was used for this print, but there is no overlap between the white base and the blue nucleus. For this reason also the text is in blue.
