Description

Ilirska Bistrica Pencil Holder

This is a miniature inspired by the shape of the Monument on Freedom Hill (Hrib Svobode) in the village of Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia. It's a spomenik complex a dedicated to the fighters of the 4th Yugoslavian Army who liberated this area during WWII.

A piece of architecture and history: The Ilirska Bistrica monument is one of the most famous examples of spomenik, the radical architectonic cement monuments scattered around ex-Jugoslavia.

Flowing orgainc shapes on your desk: The peculiar shape composed of 7 columns inscribed in a cube is original and pleasing to watch from every angle.

Art with a functional twist. The pen holder can carry 7 pens or pencils. The holes go through the cube so there is no ‘wrong’ side to use it.

Changelog:

  • Version 2 uploaded, is a bit smaller (105x70x82 mm) than the one photographed to use less filament and be more faithful to the original.
