Description

Everyday Carry Valet Tray

Room for your phone, card wallet, and keys. The trays are laced with a TPU inlay to make them softer and somewhat grippy.

There are two options with either room for a charger cable for your phone or a wireless charger that can be placed underneath the tray for wireless charging.

On the bottom are four 2x2cm slots for VHB tape for easy mounting.

The design

The design is made to fit the build plate of a Prusa i3 printer. Feel free to make your own version that fits your build plate.

Print

The tray

Print the tray in regular PLA. Supports are needed on the tape mounting holes to have a good surface for the tape to adhere to. If you are printing the one with the wireless charger, that will need supports too. I used adaptive layer height to save on print time. Get the .3mf for the optimal settings.

The inlays

Make sure you turn the tray inlays downwards toward the bed for a better surface. I printed on a satin sheet with some glue stick applied and printed using a 95A TPU. It doesn't need to be very soft but just flex a bit. Get the .3mf for some good general settings.

Customization

The model is a parametric model made in Fusion 360, so if you import the .f2d file into Fusion, you can change the size of everything to your liking. Have fun!

Assembly

If printing the tray with the cable, superglue the cable inlays into the slots. Add some 3M VHB tape around 2cm long to each slot underneath the tray to mount it securely to your table.
