Description

SwanColorHD Case

I am just trying out TinkerCAD and very novice at it, this is my first time designing something. This is as far as I could take my idea and it worked enough for me and I can't really spend more time.

I implore someone else to do this better.

The Tolerances on the ports on the back of the shell are too large and can be slimmed down if someone better designed it( just this way to account for soldering misalignment people may have (in my situation the HDMI slot is too tall and the usb port slighty long and too far to the right).

The tolerances of the car slot and the top cover are very tight and you may need to sand slightly it you don't have good dimensional accuracy on your printer.

Someone better at cad could probably redesign the mid bracket to hug the mainboard better and to cover the midsection of the board better and maybe screw down the cart slot to make it more secure, not sure what to do there but definitely can be a lot better.

Assembly is as follows:

Put everything in the main shell.

Put the bottom on with the cut corner near the controller port.

Lift up the Wonderswan mainboard away from the SwanColorHD board.

Slide the mid bracket inbetween ( fit will be tight, just make sure it doesn't flex the shell if your print tolerances are off).

Slide the Cart slot piece in the outer shell gap with the thinner part going into the part underneath the Wonderswan mainboard cart slot

Put the top on.

If anything is too tight slightly sanding can fix things.

I encourage someone better to do something with this because I am not good at cad, but I was sick of looking at bare boards.
