No print support, no post process needed!
Just print, assemble and enjoy! :)
Downloaded package includes:
Please remember, steel screws will always be better than printed ones. If you decide to print them, please ensure to tighten them very gently. If you want to replace them, you will need standard Socket Head screws. (4pcs M6x0.8 - 8mm long and 4pcs M6x0.8 - 20mm long).
I tested this vice printed with PLA-CF and it works great, but PET will work perfectly fine as well.
For better thread quality, I recommend lower printing layers or simply use “variable layer height” in your slicer to print properly and fast.
Step #1
Print and assemble the vice screw.
Step #2
Measure the thickness of your countertop to which you want to install the vice and choose the appropriate clamp length for printing.
Print and assemble the needed components for step 2.
Step #3
Print and assemble the bearing (16 rolls needed) or just print the solid bushing.
Step #4
Print out the remaining parts and assemble them.
Important!
When you install the bearing or bushing make sure the main screw turns easily, if not, loosen the bearing or bushing half a turn and check again.
Secure the bearing or bushing with an additional nut.
Packet "Step-4" includes 2 options for the back part of the vice. Print only one depending on your preference (with or without packet for tools).
ENJOY :)
