Desk Cable Brush
Print Profile(1)

Description
I'm offering a homemade cable brush system.
I needed a system at the back of my desk that would prevent objects from falling and, at the same time, allow cables like those for laptop chargers, phones, etc., to pass through.
As I couldn't find anything commercially, here is a simple solution that covers a length of 2500mm for less than 40€.
For the materials you'll find at a DIY store:
An aluminum flooring edge trim profile, 2700mm
Glue-on edge stop, L.23 mm x L.270 cm natural aluminum | Leroy Merlin
A garage door brush system, 2500mm
Screw-on garage door bottom seal AXTON flap, L.250 cm aluminum | Leroy Merlin
Steps to adjust, fix, and mount the brushes.
- 1 - Cut the profile and brush to the desired length
- 2 - Cut the aluminum wing of the brush to keep only the square part that holds the brush
- 3 - Print the flexible TPU parts
- 4 - Fix the aluminum profile behind your desk
- 5 - Slot the brush with the TPU spacers into the aluminum profile
- 6 - Push your desk back, making the brush lightly touch the wall.
To cut off the excess part (the wing) on the brush, I used a large cutter, then after 15-20 passes, I used pliers to tear the strip, like a can opener.
Happy printing everyone
