Is there a chance this can be updated to match the screw holes of the v3 version or do you recommend drilling a hole to match the bayonet model? Thanks!

All you have to do is update the parameters of the new V3 .f3d file with the correct values. See the backwards compatibility notes on V3 for more specific info.
