Great idea using this material, could have done with the same in a larger diameter to fit the rod butt.

works well, but I would measure your rod first. it didn’t quite fit my ugly stick how I would like so I am going to build my own.
To help, after I printed it was:
large ID: 0.29”
small side ID: .12”
length .98”

unfortunately there are various models, I would have to make hundreds 😅 I mount it on Shimano.
