Description

This Birdhouse was one of my first bigger prints on my Creality CR10s. I printed it for my mothers birthday in 2018. Since then it is hanging in her garden and the birds love it!

I printed it in PLA and sealed it with vanish and it is still completly intact. You can fill the Birdfood (kernels, corns,…) into the top, while it is hanging and it falls out to the sides into a tray, where smaller birds can feed from it. It also prevents bigger birds from stealing the food, because they can't land anywhere.

You could also print the six side panels, however I decided to make them from Acrylic Glass. You need to cut 7x12,5 big squares out of 4 mm thick Acrylic glass. I would suggest test fitting the pieces. After that you press fit the upper ring over the Panels, so they can't move (There are tolerances for bad cutting too :)), I never had a house where you could see the cuts). The last step is to make a knot into a rope and slide it thru the middle hole. The hole should be sealed for the Food not to fall thru. 10mm to 12mm rope will be perfect. I also made some with smaller, but woven together rope. After that you can attach the houses to a tree.

This Model prints on all Bambu-printers (beside A1 mini)!!!!
