Description

This is a Bottom frame handle mount spool holder i designed. It attaches to the handle opening under the printer and needs no hardware to install. The spool holder is threaded and can use either the OG bambu metal spool holder mount or option of using the AMS lite rotary spool holder

The OG mount will require 2 m3x10 screws and 2 m3 nuts

The rotary holder for the ams lite mount can be purchased from Bambu for 11.99, Link below. Make sure to get the green holder.

I printed this in PLA and came out well strong enough. I didnt print with supports and it came out pretty clean except some deforming at the greatest area of overhang, I added a profile with support in just that area but you should be ok without them as well.

Enjoy!! Please Review!

Updated 3/13/24 - Reduced mount height

I made a quick PTFE guide mount that works with this spool holder. It can be found here. Used a PT4-10 PTFE connector and the original M3x8 screws that came with the bambu spool holder to mount in the rear of printer.

I have a X1C that is over a year old. The handle depth is different and your model is to tall on where it enters the handle slot under the machine. Could you reduce that height by 1/2 for older machines?

hmm I didn't realize they had made changes to that. I'll look into it and post another version for it

FYI I reduced the height by 1/2 of the portion that enters the slot under the machine and it works perfectly.

how are you supposed to route the filament up to the little PTFE tube on the top back of the printer?

Amazing! Could this be possible on the right side of the printer too?

i would say no. it would require a different ams lite mount and the yellow ams lite rotary instead of green. If you did want to do it you would just need to mirror the mount i believe. You would however need to make a mount for the yellow rotary, then use a splitter at the hub instead of where the filament goes into the printer. You could do it if you just using the og mount with no need to make anything
