Description

This model is an improved version of the so called “NASA Fabric”. It is designed for better flexibility as I found, that the usual hex plates restrict the movement of the print.

The model is mode of individual parts, which you can separate in the slicer. Please notice that my print has less pieces then the profile/raw model includes, but is printed at original scale to proof printability.

 

Depending on how much stringing your printer produces, you might need to wiggle the print a bit to free alll the joints. The print also works if you scale it down or up, if you want to save time or make it bigger.

 

If you want to print it with your own profile, I reccomend to slightly increase the outer wall line width until there are no more inner walls in the “arms” as printing these just costs extra time. Unless you're scaling it up that is.
