Description

This is a kit card of a glider. It glides very well if weighted properly. I made this because I saw many kit card airplanes that did not fly and wanted to make one. It must be printed with a 0.05 mm layer height. If the glider nose dives then print out the light weight securer. If the airplane flips backward print out the heavy weight securer. (also make sure that the wings are slanted back to provide lift. If they are slanted forward then the fuselage sides need to swap)

Some recommendations for this print are.

  • Clean your print bed before printing.
  • Print with around 5% infill.
  • Do not print to fast. (stay near 200 m/s or less)

It is the most delicate thing I’ve printed but it came out great and works. You are pushing the limits on what can be printed!

Be sure not to spray glue, otherwise you won't be able to take it off at all,一定不要喷胶,要不然根本拿不下来!!!!!

Good profile, the only problem I had was with the balance weight. There was a little layer shift.

prints great but is too heavy to actually fly it just nosedives

can you get the weight closer to the wings?

You may have the two sides of the fuselage reversed, or you could try going into files and printing out the lighter weight nose weight. If it is the fuselage sides are reversed then the back of the wings will be higher up than the front. Also the bottom of the fuselage when they print should be on the outside.

looks great. good experience for dealing with ultra thin components. one wing split when I carved it off the plate, so it's just decoration but it still looks cool!

If it does not fly and just nose dives then the fuselage sides may be backward and then the wings will be slanted forward. To fix this the sides of the fuselage need to be swapped. If it is something else then I don't no how to help you because all the ones I have made work great.
