This is a remix of the lead screw shield by chiz.
I modified 4 things:
- Magnets are now easily recoverable as oppose to inserting/gluing them into a tight fit hole.
- The magnets are now inserted from the outside, so it allows for any reasonably thickness.
- There is now a thin layer of plastic at the contact surface. Effectively, the magnets can easily be recovered if the part is no longer desired. Simply push the magnets back out – destroying the thin plastic layer if necessary.
- Shaved 0.5mm off the cover surface. From 1.5mm to 1.0mm.
- The original design had a 1.5mm thick shell, which I find is uncomfortable with my P1S print plate. I shaved this shell down to 1.0mm, which fits and has a nice gap.
- Added a 6mm magnets variant
- In addition to the original 8mm magnets variant
- Removed the built in support
- I use paint on support where support is necessary
NOTE: Do not add support to inside the magnet holes.
