Mount to the right side of spool (when in AMS) to avoid collision with AMS guides on the left. Works perfect on the right side.
I have tried many filament clips and none totally satisfied my needs. So I made my own. I now have two on every Bambulab spool.
Featuring:
There is two versions:
The “normal” version was tuned with Bambu Basic PLA on X1C for a tight fit.
The “loose” version was tuned for printed Bambu spools, as they usually come out with tighter holes.
Slicing:
0.2 mm layers are fine, recommend 4 perimeters and >30% infill. No supports, channel is easily bridged.
Design Idea:
The Zig-Zag filament mount made the difference for me. You can push the filament in from the side or “click” it in from the top. Since the channel is wider than the filament, it takes only little effort. Due to the Zig-Zag it is held in place firmly nontheless.
Honorable mentions:
While I did the whole model from scratch with many iterations to get it perfect (hopefully), I was inspired by the following models:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/59601 (I really liked the banana, but the way the filament was held was not ideal for me)
