Magnetic Cable Management

With this magnetic cable management holder, you can easily manage your cables on magnetic surfaces without screws.

 

I designed this model for cable management, specifically for winding and shortening my AMS cables on the back of my Bambu Lab H2D printer, to simply tidy things up, as it had become quite messy after a while.

 

I'm using the model with two 10 x 3 mm magnets, which is perfectly sufficient. Since many of you already have magnets, but perhaps not the same size, I've also uploaded the model parametrically – here you can configure magnets with a diameter of up to 12 mm and a thickness of up to 10 mm.

 

As you can see in the pictures, my configuration accommodates two standard AMS cables.

Assembly

The magnetic holes in the model already have a good tolerance – so the magnets should press in perfectly and hold on their own. If not, use a little superglue.

 

Please note

Depending on the holder's position on the back of 3D printers, the material used, such as PLA, may deform due to the high temperatures inside the printer. Please keep this in mind.

If you're using more than one AMS, you'll inevitably need splitters sooner or later – especially the Bambu Lab 4-in-1 PTFE splitter. Since I wasn't happy with the direct mounting on the buffer, I developed a holder for the back of the H2D and H2S, which I'd like to share with you.
