Description

This is a remix of FabulousD_564891's model (https://www.printables.com/model/978106-ender-3-v3-ke-hotend-fan-duct).

Motivation: My V3 KE doesn't have side screw holes on the extruder motor (see image), so FabulousD_564891's model doesn't work for my machine. I have to redesign the upper part of his model.

My model uses the screw holes on the metal bracket of the hotend (see image). No extra screws are needed. For installation, you may have to push the prints slightly (see image).

Differences of the remix compared to the original:

  • Redesign the upper part of FabulousD_564891's model.
  • Add fan wire recess.
  • Remove redundant area to make it lighter.
  • Change the screw hole size of the fan.

Materials: PETG  (PLA should be fine too)

Print settings:
    Wall loops = 3.
    Infill = 20%.
    First layer speed = 50 mm/s.
    First layer infill speed = 50 mm/s.

Support: None. (You have to reorient the model in the slicer.)

Updates:
   2026/01/07 Add "Hotend_Fan_Duct_v2.stl":
Revise the dimensions of the upper component to make the installation easier.
      Improve the fan wire recess.

   2026/01/11 Add "Hotend_Fan_Duct_v3.stl":
Increase the clearance between the duct and the build plate to improve air flow.

   2026/01/15 Add "Hotend_Fan_Duct_v4.stl":
v3 is slightly twisted on my v3 ke. v4 fixes this issue.
