This a remix of the ‘Vegetable Can Dispenser w/ Labels’ by cbaileyhp here on Maker World. I loved the model and design but it unfortunately did not fit on our existing shelves, so I remixed it to be shorter and remove some of the vertical space within the handles to fit our needs. It holds fifteen canned goods in the size of 14.5-15oz (approximate can measurement 75mm x 112mm) superbly well. Also has labels that can be swapped out as desired if your need for the organizer changes. cbaileyhp has continued to make new labels and the ones made for the original model will also work in this model. The fully assembled model is approximately 12.5 inches (317mm) tall by 15.75 inches (400mm) deep.
Examples of what we will be storing is diced tomatoes, corn, green beans, tomato sauce, refried beans, other various beans. We typically purchase from Costco in 8 and 12 packs. This model allows us to restock before being empty and ensures we are always using the oldest cans first as it works in a ‘first in first out’ (FIFO) method which is incredibly handy.
Personally, we opted for printing it in PLA+ and it has been holding up well. The connecting joints are tight, secure and sturdy. Additional clips and fasteners are provided on a separate plate for additional reinforcement. Additionally, stability can also be added using M3x10 screws for pre threaded holes (link in ‘Finishing Information’ to Amazon).
Additional printing and finishing information below are as provided by cbaileyhp at time of this posting on the original model and accurate for this model as well.
Printing Information
-Round fasteners slide over center round support to provide additional stability (on fastener plate)
-Clip fasteners clip the side components together (on fastener plate)
-Textured plate gives a nice, finished look (optional)
-Can be printed in any color to match your decor
Finishing Information
-Gave it stability using 13 M3x10 screws (pre-threaded but a small round file on the hole opening can help start the screws)
-Recommend using a touch of super glue on each of the round fasteners and where it joins together are the very top, but neither are necessary
-Glue is not used on the clip fasteners, but can be if you wish
Thank you cbaileyhp for a great design and allowing others to adjust to their needs. Happy printing all!!
