Description

I've designed this HEPA filter enclosure for following reasons:

  1. Built-in chamber fan is only 100 CFM. Some makers are stacking Carbon & HEPA filters. This is WAY too much restriction to be efficient
  2. Smaller footprint than a Bento box. So, less filament to print the enclosure
  3. Use of existing chamber exhaust
  4. No extra wiring required
  5. Easily swappable from HEPA to Carbon (and vice versa)
  6. Availability of the HEPA filter on Amazon

The HEPA enclosure is about the same size as the Bambu Lab Carbon filter. I did not include a lid because the airflow is from top to bottom. In addition, the filter is a tight fit so unless there is an hurricane, it ain't go anywhere!

Do not try to insert the Carbon filter in the HEPA enclosure. It is ONLY for the HEPA filter (I know it is a dumb statement but who knows these days…..)

BOM (single item!):

To get the HEPA enclosure out of the chamber exhaust cavity, I've added a small notch so you can grab it with your fingers. For people with bigger hands, use an HEX key as per pictures.

I hope you will like it. Please post any comments. There is always room for improvement!
