any idea how i have two parts left over?
some small criticism on your print profile, or a couple tips, no real need for it to have 100% infill, notice the small bumps on the top surface, having some void space in the middle would eliminate that, the flow rate on this filament was probably too high too.
also .15 layer height isnt ideal, the printers max accuracy is .04mm on z so using a multiple of the microsteps helps ensure z accuracy... also because there isnt any geometry on the z axis .15 doesnt really improve quality much, id probably just use .2.
anyways all in all its a fun model and pretty when finished ✅️
Yes, I have that idea... Please take a close look at the surface quality of your print. Because as you have already boldly stated... your flow is much too high. Please calibrate your filament, because then there would be no two parts left over. Each part should have a height of 1.5 mm so that it fits into the recesses provided for it, which are 1.5 mm wide. That's why I recommend a layer height of 0.15, because with 10 layers of 0.15 each, you can achieve a height of 1.5 mm. With a layer height of 0.2 you can only achieve either 1.4mm or 1.6mm. Therefore layer height 0.15 is ideal !!!
Alternatively, if you don't want to calibrate your filament, you can "TRY" to scale the model with the same width and the same length down or up to 1.4mm or 1.6mm in height and then try with 0.2 layer height. However, I would rather recommend everyone to do the work and calibrate the filament. There is nothing better than working with fully calibrated filaments with which every model can be printed accurately. With the Enderman KitCard that I made, you would have difficulties assembling it cleanly with the filament as you are using it... and that's only because your filament is not properly calibrated.
thank you so much for all this solid advice. i totally understand why u used .15 now. okay so ill try to calibrate the flow better and if that doesnt solve it i will scale the parts but hopefully the flow calibration fixes it because then i wont have to think so hard LOL. youre right i checked with a micrometer and these came out at 1.62mm thick
