I wanted to quickly identify either what filament I had loaded, or what type. I have the Bambu Labs swatches, and printed some for non-BL filaments. So I used that to also create some swatches for filament types (PLA, PETG, etc) and then designed a holder that would fit onto the AMS unit to quickly identify and when required, change.
For the swatches, I used this as a template and guide https://makerworld.com/en/models/129556#profileId-140450 and then I created the swatch board/holder to mount under the AMS handle.
Remove the handle using a 1.5mm hex and then slide the handle into the holder and reattach it to the AMS.
I hope you like it, I have created it in PLA and PETG - my AMS is not on top of my X1C, so the heat was not a big issue for me.
