Description

Special Request by Finns Forge: The Richat Eye (aka Richat structure) is a large eroded dome in the Sahara of Mauritania, Northern Africa. At 25 miles (40 km) in diameter it is visible from space and makes for a very interesting map. There are many legends and myths associated with the Richat Eye, including that it could have been related to Atlantis, alien technology, or the mark of many fictional characters.

Print this wonderous Eye and let your imagination run wild as you contemplate the possible causes and meaning behind its presence on the planet.

Exported from publicly available elevation data Copernicus 30m DEM The GLO-30 dataset is available worldwide with a free license available https://spacedata.copernicus.eu/collections/copernicus-digital-elevation-model

Modeled as 1:200k 10x vertical exaggeration, originally designed for 300x300 and downscaled and colored for Bambu.

Suggest: please use colors that you prefer, I colored according to an earth-tone orange-tan-yellow-grey scale. I have test prints in Overture Fossil Rock gradient and it comes out very interesting patterns delineated by elevation.
