Description

This modification is for the BoboVR. The M2 or the M3 vision should be usable (this is the M2).

There is the solo knit strap attachement. Remove the back arm of the Bobo VR by removing the screw. The solo knit attachment snaps in place.

I printed the solo knit attachedment at 0.08 layer height.

The solo knit attachment is best printed with a support underneath for the female receiver for the solo knit clip.

The male receiver needs to be glued in. I used CF glue.

You then screw it back on. It is designed to allow the ratcheting effect so that you can perfectly adjust the angle of the solo strap.

On my head, it works with both the small and medium solo knit straps.

The arm clips don't require any supports and can be printed at 0.2 layer height.

I used PETG, but I don't see why PLA wouldn't work.

This setup is also great for glasses mode, and they will stay at the fixed distance even if you are lying on your back.

I find glasses mode great for the stationary bike.

For hardware, you will need:

Two M6 x 22mm hex bolts

Two M6 Star knobs

Two ¼" x 1" fender washers

Two ¼" x 5/16" thin rubber washers to create friction between the Bobo Arm and the AVP arm clip

You will need to mod the Bobo arms.

Use a dremel cutoff wheel or similar tool remove the clip receivers on the back of the Bobo arms.

Drill two 5.8 mm holes in the Bobo arms, 3cm appart.

Then connect them with the dremel tool to create a grove for the bolt to slide.

This creates a very stable and adjustable mount to you can have all the weight on the top of your head.

The solo knit band allows you to snug up the Bobo halo nicely.

The AVP has freedom to move forwards/backwards, up/down, and rotate so you can have the AVP perfectly aligned to your face without putting any pressure on your face.
