Description

Hello,

here I have constructed a prototype of a sight device for recurve bows, with which a red dot sight can be attached to the bow.

Various M3 and M4 screws and 2 x M4 nuts are used for assembly. The height adjustment is achieved via an M8 threaded rod and an MGN9C X 55mm linear guide. To store the M8 threaded rod, 2 ball bearings measuring 8X12X3.5 are required. The visor device can be tilted downwards by 10° (around the lower fixed point on the raiser) and can be locked with the upper fixed point.

I'm happy to help you make any changes, so don't be shy and let me know your opinion.

Hello @huacme, thanks for your comment, probably the system will not work with a simple pin sight. The advantage of a red dot is that the target point moves on the visor glass depending on the viewing angle. With a pin sight you would need a peep in the string like a compound bow. A simple red dot sight doesn't cost much at Amazon, it doesn't have to be a real weapon sight, I bought mine for about 25 euros on Amazon.
