Motivated by the LED Diffusers contest I wanted to make a christmas tree that is

1. Quick and cheap to print
2. Lights up
3. Can be sent with a letter per mail

First iterations had a kit card design but with the different side panels I abandoned that idea (for now). To make the tree you need

• 1 x 5mm or similar LED
• 1 x CR2032

and print the following

• 1 x tree_base.stl
• 1 x tree_stem.stl
• 4 x sides - you can mix them as you want or have all the same

The models were designed to be printed in 0.2mm layers. Tabs are small but should fit ok - if the bottom layer is squished to much you might need to trim them slightly. Make sure the prints have cooled before you remove them from the build base as the sides can warp easily.

Assembly:

1. Insert the LED and button cell into the holes in the tree_stem (Check polarity)
2. Insert the tree_base - make sure the legs of the LED are help in place by the base
3. Assemble the 4 sides by puting the tabs into the notches
4. Insert the stem thru the bottom of the 4 sides - the star should slip thru the top of the side assembly easily
