Description

We started to see significant impact to the quality of prints after adding the fourth Bambu printer on the same shelf. These were designed to offer more lateral dampening and have solved most of our quality issues related to interference between printers. Variable elasticity in specific areas of the model is achieved using modifiers in the slicing parameters. Filament used is Sainsmart TPU 95A.

SteadyPaw Non-AMS:

This is made to handle the P1/X1 series printers without AMS sitting on top of the printer.

SteadyPaw AMS:

This is designed to handle the heavier weight of a loaded AMS unit sitting on top of the printer. The model uses an extra pair of “legs” and extra perimeters to achieve the required weight handling.

Update 2/13/24: Added “Slim” version with a smaller footprint.

Works pretty good, really needs barbed inserts or something to help keep the feet in place if you need to move the printer. Kind of a pain to align them constantly.

Possibly a silly question, but is there any downside in using the AMS version of these when I don't have an AMS on top? (I have a vented riser installed which isn't terribly heavy but does add mass and shift the center of gravity a bit.)

Not at all, it's a little trial and error based on total weight. You can try the AMS and non-AMS, as well as increase or decrease perimeters and infill to customize the softness. On my machines I have the AMS feet on the back and non-AMS feet on the front... Let me know what ends up working for you!

Great design... any chance you can make the foot diameter smaller? My X1C is kind of tight on the table I use.

Done! Updated the files with a "Slim" version. If you open the profile directly in Bambu Studio you can simply choose the plate to print.
