Description

UPDATE Version 3.1: updated the fillet on the inside of the small squares to make grabbing screws easier.

Version 3.0: I have included 2 models that use a 63 slot grid for ultra small magnets. One of the 2x2 trays has the grid embedded if you don't want to use a flexible magnet., the small screws are still attracted to the magnets on the bottom of the 2x2 Gridfinity inserts, if you install them.

I also created the grid by itself so you can print the 2x2 screw holder without the grid, then add flexible magnet material, then put the grid on top to hold screws in place. This is my new go-to tray for all my electronics repairs i do in my office and i couldn't imagine life without it!

I have created screw bin holders in 2x2 grid sizes for plates and other bigger parts as per my field research data. I’ve also created 1x1 lids for the screw bins! The big parts tray has 3 xrta small slots, 2 small slots, one medium slot, and one big slot. You can insert the small parts bin into the corner of the big parts tray, or you can add your favorite Gridfinity printable! The lids i made are big enough to put on a small parts bin and stack another on top so the magnets won't pick up the screws inside the bin underneath. I also designed 2 different size trays, one small one that will print with one wall using a .4 nozzle, and one that is thick enough for 2 walls for each divider in the tray.

I figured I would print the thing I use the most. I work in an electronics repair shop and we always need something to keep the small screws with the device, so why not keep them in the grid!

I made a 9 compartment 1x1 size grid with an 11mm wall. This won't hold all the screws you own, but it will hold all the screws in your phone… trust me…. I tried.

I made one with a bigger hole for the “plates” some phones have and I made sure to stick to the gridfinity standard and made them STACKABLE. I may add ones without magnet holes in them if you want some for easier stacking. Further field testing research data is needed to determine if they are needed..
