Description

A segmented and print ready Boing B-52 Stratofortress.

Model, once assembled, is 560mm (22") wide (wingspan) and 484mm (19") long (nose to tail).

Supports are required, and both wings should be printed in a vertical orientation to save on material and improve surface appearance.

The included print profile is for an “all in one” print (two plates). I personally recommend printing one piece at a time just in case there is any issue.

Goddamned LH wing wouldn't stay together using either gorilla glue or a hot glue stick.

What gorilla glue did you use? I used the gel version for the main print with good results, but you could try the baking soda trick too. Thanks for the feedback though.

Super Glue Gel XL......what kills me is the RH wing didn't have any issues. I wasn't aware of the baking soda trick. I'll give that a try. Thanks! I'll give you a star back since I think it was more of a function of the glue curing. If the baking soda trick works I'll upgrade to 5.

Weird, that's exactly what I used. I did scrape up the surfaces a bit but not much. I'll take a closer look at the model tomorrow and see if there's anything I missed.

Yes, you glue the two body halves together, then the tail and the nose sections. I glued the wings on last. I'm not experienced enough to design something snap-fit.

By far, one of the best B-52 models out there! The B-52 is my son's favorite aircraft. Once this one is assembled, it comes out with a wing span of 18 inches. It is huge but beautiful.
