Profiles

  • Kit With Frame
    • plane in a kit card format ideal for gifting to others
  • Kit No Frame
    • plane without a kit frame ideal for assembly right off the printer

Filament

As shown:

  • Bambu Lab PLA Black
  • Overture PLA Cement Gray
  • Esun PLA+ Fire Engine Red

Tips

  • Model requires close tolerances to ensure snug but not tight or loose fit
    • Make sure the model cools to room temperature before assembly
    • Ensure filament is properly calibrated with no excessive over extrusion
  • Ensure good bed adhesion
    • Make sure printer is fully calibrated
    • Make sure print bed is clean & dry (soapy water is my favorite for cleaning - simple & works)
    • Make sure filament is dry (wet filament can generate non-continuous flow that can cause bed adhesion issues)
    • Cooling & Temps - make sure they are correct for your printer, build plate, and filament

Assembly

  • Remove all pieces from the kit
  • Debur as needed to smooth edges
  • Insert wing into forward fuselage slot
  • Insert horizontal tail into aft fuselage slot
  • Insert engine to wing
    • Recommend aft end first, then press down on the forward eng. It will clip into place. (See gift below)
  • Insert tank to wing
    • Recommend aft end first, then press down softly on forward end. It will clip into place. (See gift below)
  • Place airplane onto stand
  • Enjoy!

awesome model, thanks for posing. I added black to the B-52 on the base and made the tail tag body color. assembled without glue the first time, just as a test… need to reprint the wing anyway, it lifted off the bed a bit, everything else came out great. cctree silk bronze, galaxy black and galaxy red.

Hope you don’t mind, but I lazily (with TinkerCAD 🙃) added radomes for the EW hardware on the H model. Tiny supports under the chin gear, but they come right off. Came out great on your model, thanks again!!!

Wow, I frekin' love this model. Printed it with your print settings on the Bambu Carbon X1. Used the textured PEI plate with nano polymer adhesive in PLA Basic of course. I could have printed the version without the connections, but I wanted to see what the card version would be like. I sanded down the knubs after taking the pieces out and put it together. The bed adhesive I used actually helped to stick the two parts of the fuselage together, which was needed to keep the rear part from separating. The AMS made the multicolor printing painless. This is one of my favorite test prints thus far.

Absolutely love the series but need some help. All that I print every part is a tiny bit too big to fit. I know it’s something I am doing wrong on the print but I don’t know what. This one took a lot of sanding to get the wing and tail in and the engines won’t fit. Again the file is a 5 star all day long, this is an old man error and I’m hoping for some guidance.
