Advanced spool dehumidifier for filament spool with cheap humidity meter and USB-C module with heating element for recharging the silica gel. It fits in the center of the spool wich is placed into (vacuum) bag.
I recomand use more heat resistant material like ABS.
Original print from X1C fit perfect for me, but some users have problem with fitting, so I added lid with tolerance -0,1 mm and -0,2 mm to print files.
Used heating element works with 12 V and temperature is regulated to 140 °C (284 °F). USB-C modules use to be presolderet to 12 V output, but make sure it is.
Insert humidity meter to printed base. It fits into the groove and then turn it counter-clockwise.
Now you can optionaly place printed barrier ot the top of the back side of humidity meter and place USB-C module into its place. It should slide easily into it.
Then fill the base with rechargeable silica gel to the half of the base and arrange heating element in the centre of the base.
Fill the rest of base with rechargeable silica gel.
Clip the cover on the base. The fit is pretty tight - you dont want to fall cover down and split silisa gel all over your workplace.
Good work, you're done! Now you can keep your filament dry. And if humidity rise up, just plug the dehumidifier to charger and wait few hours to dry silica gel again.
