Boost Me (for free)
If you enjoy my designs, you can support my work with a boost!
This is a simple and sturdy, fully customizable storage box.
You can use the box with the insert for small parts or without the insert for large items or your own projects!
It is similar to my storage boxes for the H2 series printers, but I completely reworked the insert and lid style. This allows you to store small parts in the box without them mixing if you shake the box while closed.
Assembly requires 6 M3x30 screws (With rounded or cylindrical heads).
Width, Depth and Height refer to inner dimensions. Please note some inner corners are rounded.
Important: MakerWorld only allows exporting single STLs from one file. After importing it in the slicer, simply right click, "Split", "To objects". Now you can move the different parts to different build plates.
Tall Lid Version
I also added an alternative version with a tall lid, just like my H2 series boxes. Even though I added a customizable insert, I recommend this box for your own projects with your own inserts.
If you want to create custom inserts, I recommend leaving 0.3 mm clearance all around and setting the corner radii to 4.7 mm.
Print Settings:
These boxes don't require special settings, but for the smoothest finish I recommend printing them with:
- 0.2mm layer height
- Top and bottom shell layers both to 5 (this prevents infill on the planes, which would cause thermal artifacts)
- Only A1 users: Make sure to set elephant foot compensation to 0.15mm, because this is not default on the A1 profiles
