Description

I designed this vice specifically for my little CNC as I needed something low profile and I don't like using clamps. Plus this lets me hold down not just flat materials in a number of ways. those flat soft jaws inserts allow anyone to make attachments to fit their need and they don't even need to be screwed down those screws there are definitely optional and are mainly for clamping round objects.

All this vice needs is one M8x190 screw for maximum space. That allows for 120mm wide stock to the bed it can be attached with pretty much any screw with the right washer I think I used M5s and some t-track blocks that are 3d printed.

For the top screws I use M5 again minimum height is M5x16 shorter won't be screwed into the nut below but I don't even bother with the nuts below and rely on a friction fit.

I include some spacers that I found useful to make sure my stock is flat or supported from the base again not really necessary and some basic soft jaws. Well, it's 3d printed so it's all soft.

I printed mine at .2mm layer height with .6 nozzle and probably like 40% infill with both pla and petg and haven't had any issues engraving mostly carbon fibre.

If you care to see what I did with it feel free to check my Instagram or my Etsy page.
