This is not the entire pastamatic unit. These are just the necessary parts to use 20x20 aluminum extrusions as a base. There is no need to modify and of the original parts. I've also included an bearing upgraded leadscrew. I just didn't understand why this wasn't done in the first place. Everything else has nice bearings.

Hardware Needed:

18 = M5x10mm socket head cap screws

2 = M5 x 12 or 14mm (the 2 screws that screw into the wiper mounts for the 90's)

18 = M5 aluminum extrusion nuts

2 = 20x20 extrusion pieces cut to 16 ½"

2 = Extrusion pieces cut to 10 ¾"

It's fairly straight forward. The main side gets one of each Ext Mnts (Pastamatic Ext Mnt 1, 2, & 3). The middle (#3) is the longest one with the 2 different thickness cutouts. Be sure to space the end ones in far enough from the ends to allow clearance for the 90 deg brackets for the extrusions end pieces. Also, now is a good time to place the winder keeper before you set in the pastamatic sides. You will need this since the extrusions raise up the unit and the leadscrew carriage won't hit the bottom and not work properly. You can see it in Pic 2. Once the unit is in place, I used super glue to secure it in place. The wiper mounts can be mounted to the end extrusion and adjusted easily with the extrusion nuts.
