Description

Summary

I was looking for a battery holder for my 18V Ridgid tools, but what I found rely on friction or orientation for retention. So I made one that has a positive retention to use for something more mobile, like pack out cases. The fit is snug and the latch holds the battery in place securely.

I created 2 designs. One that has 3 screw mounts that fit typical drywall screws (Ø10mm thru hole with countersink chamfer). The other has no screw mounts and could be used with an adhesive or you can add the mounting holes of your choosing.

The parts in my pictures were printed at 0.16mm layer height which is not necessary. 0.20mm is just fine. I also used 3 walls and 25% infill. Support is needed for the lower tabs that catch the battery rails. I used support painting because auto supports kept showing up on the text which is not needed. You can see the tree supports in my picture.

Printed fine. I used the slim trees and they came off pretty easily. Way quicker than the other print I found and Zero sanding and filing to make fit.
