Description

I make my own build surfaces out of 1.5mm thick G10 sheets. Since it is not attached to a spring plate, I had to come up with an alternative means to hold the plate down to the heatbed. These clips are slightly curved with a hook on the underside to grip the bottom of the heatbed and a lip on the top to apply downward pressure on the build surface. They are as unintrusive as I could possibly design them. These are set up to print in PLA, but PETG would be a better material to use. The fit is super tight, which is what you want in this scenario.

Interested how you shaped your G10 sheet to include the nozzle cleaner and ident tab. I got some sheet but it's the size of the print area not including the tabs. Need to reorder and cut the tabs?

What a great design. Be even more useful if there were files that could be selected for a different range of thicknesses, since do many folk have all manner of different combinations of surfaces that they would no doubt like to slap a G10 surface on top of. Or a file format that would let the application thickness be entered.

Really useful. Bambu lab magnets are not strong enough and the build plate needs this for big parts when using other filaments than PLA.
