Description

This is for the original heatbed and cable. It will not fit the updated hardware.

A simple cable guide for the A1 to limit side-to-side bending. Minimal assembly is required since it doesn't fit on the bed as one piece but it is mostly print in place. Just snap the 2 chains together by squeezing the sides of the long chain and pressing them together. The ends attach in the same way that the official Bambu Cable Protector does. I have added slots to allow for easy removal of both ends.

I recommend using PETG or another more heat resistant filament, just to be safe.

-There are built in spring clips that will hold the cable in the tracks without pinching.

-The larger end attaches to the base of the printer with an integrated cable protector.

-The short end is double-jointed to allow more movement, as the cable tends to bend upwards.

-Easy to remove connectors.

The bottom piece? Did it break or just come apart? It's hard to tell in the photo. Haven't had any problems with mine yet, but I did add a strong profile with 100% infill and 3 walls. However if it's the bottom piece that broke, it's probably layer separation due to the print orientation. It could also be printed upright which would be much stronger, but it would probably need supports.

when i printed it doesnt require support but this tiny wall for the connector between top and bottom part of the cable clamp broke

very nice. Had to add 4 more joints. Worked out fine!

Yeah it seems like they're not all the same length for some reason. Glad it worked for you! EDIT: 4 seemed like a big difference so I double checked and I did miss a few links! I'm updating it now for anyone else, new profile will be up in a few minutes after this post. Thanks for letting me know.

if this is for the new updated heat bed cable then it doesn't fit at all, too short and the ends do not clip in correctly.

oh darn. that's ok though, I printed more of it for other projects and took off the ends and made it a cable management system for other things.

Cool glad you still had a use for it. I'm still waiting for the new heatbed. I might make a new version when I eventually get it.

This is for the original heatbed, I don't have the new one yet so I can't modify it. You can try to scale it up but I don't know how well that would work.

I’m not that good yet with blender. Yes the new A1 has a protective nylon and it’s really thick. LOL. Let me know if you ever get this adapted.

I'll try to remember, but I have no idea how long it will be, it's already been months lol. But for scaling, it can be done in the slicer if you want to try, no outside programs are necessary. In Bambu Studio, you would just click on the model to highlight it, then at the top there is a button labeled Scale (or you can press S on the keyboard). Buut I don't know if it would even work out.
