Description

*Note - a new profile was added to support Bambu Studio v1.9.1.67 - this version will not print tree supports as required in the older print profile without setting them to Hybrid Also enable Brim.

Well vented and easy to clean tree swallow bird house. When attached the roof will stay firmly in place and provide excellent shelter and air flow through the peak, eaves, and drainage holes in floor. The roof detaches by prying slightly on the eaves and pulling up.

Recommend printing in a natural colors, and UV coat with Krylon if using PLA. Infill is used to provide insulation with additional added in the peak to support repeated removals.

Nice print! I used ASA for the roof - due to it's UV rating and had to scale down to 85% with what I had left - still a really nice size. I used the negative part adder in the Bambu slicer to get the hole to 1.5" diameter (based on what I read for a tree sparrow). Both pieces fit together nicely, and the reduced screw hole sizes were still a perfect fit for my 2" deck screws (used to mount it to a 6"x6" tree house support). Thanks for the realistic wood shingle roof design!

Can you print with ASA without an enclosure? Thanks

I love your model so much that I made three of them. We will mount them to our fence.

Great Model, Printed in PETG, NO SUPPORTS oriented upright, came out flawless, will be put on a shady side of the yard so hopefully it'll be alright in the sun in a milder climate.

PETG must give extra advantage in adhering, very nice, looks great. Thank you!

Nice results, supports worked flawlessly. I need to learn how to add wooden texture like this to my models. 😀

Thank you, looks great! I’m still learning myself. What helped was focusing on UV unwrapping and finally understanding why “quads” are so important.

Printed in ABS, so I changed the orientation of the roof as you can see in the photo and it printed with just a little bit off, no supports. Could easily fix with tree supports, but I wanted to live dangerously. I really like the functionality of this house! Venting, clean able, it's really thoughtful.

Beautiful! Really like the colour, the abs makes it look like fresh painted park bench. Live dangerous I guess - the first set of rails must have given you confidence to continue. Thank you!

this looks awesome. dumb question. I don't see anyone Mini profile. what's the best way for me to be able to do that on my mini?

I thought it may fit if scaled down then add the appropriate entry hole size but as the roof fits when scaled down to ~94% the base needs to be scaled down way more….In order for this to print on the A1 mini it would need to be scaled down to 74% which would work as far as ornamental function but too small for most birds.
