Extension for L-BOXX mini

Allows raising the lid, while maintaining the clip functionalities above and below!

Customizable separators are available if you wish to retain this function.

Printing

PLA is strong enough.

Once installed, the model is integral with the base and only the lid moves.

Warping? You can add skirts to optimize adhesion to the build plate.

Assembly

For many reasons (dimensions, print orientation, amount of support, …), the model must be printed in several pieces.

Then they must be glued together.

To perfectly align the sides with the body, I added 2 holes to place a piece of filament.

Parametric Model

The existing measurements are perfectly suited to my Sortimo (ref 4045294846077) boxes.

Based on the experience of the 1st version, some people had to adjust the dimensions.
Is this due to printing (retraction, calibration, …), or the brand of the box (Sortimo, Bosch, Spax, …)? I don't know.

To correct this, I added additional parameters so that it suits everyone!

The Parameters

The height parameter is the main one.

The other parameters allow adjusting the critical distances for a perfect fit.

💡 TIPS: Tests & filament/time saving

To find the right parameters that perfectly fit your box, and avoid unnecessarily printing multiple models: you can cut the model and print only a small thickness to test.

Due to its geometric shape, the model will inherently have weaknesses!
So be careful when assembling the extension.
