Description

This tool is designed to facilitate removal of the PTFE Bowden Tubes on the rear of the X1/P1 Machines. It also has the Plug Clip Tool included to remove the Buffer cable plugs. Printed in PLA it is a robust tool, added 6x2mm or 10x3mm magnet and you can throw it on the back or side panels where it is handy to retrieve and not get lost. The best method to insert the magnet is to place the magnet on a flat surface and then press the tool on top of it to fully insert. The 10x3 is my favourite as it sticks to the side and doesn't move till I need it, if there is a problem with the magnet staying behind when you pull it off, a dab of superglue or similar works wonders.

Instructions for use

Release button is located inside the spring area, simply insert and move towards the LEFT.
Pull the PTFE once you've depressed the release button. It will need constant pressure.

Place over the Plug
Manoeuvre Tool forward till it engages the Plug fully depressing the clip
Same applies for the bottom Plug. Some wriggling may be needed to remove plug

Insert and press to release PTFE. Pull tube as you are pressing the tool in.

** While you have your magnets handy, print one of these :)

That’s what I ended up doing with it after printing with the wrong size magnet but still does the same thing. I’m out of the right size magnets and need to get some but this is okay for now! Thanks!! 🙏

Have uploaded a 10x3mm magnet version if this works for you. It sticks a lot stronger so had to tighten up the tolerance. Thanks again for the feedback.

Thats a really good print in PETG, nice :)) The 10mm magnet is a lot better as it doesn't slip on the sides where i put it. Thanks for the feedback and rating.

Thats pretty good print quality from your machine. I found the best way to fit the magnet is to place the magnet on the desk and press the tool on top. Thank you for the rating, pic and comment :)

The heads on each of the arms are perfect for their respective jobs, and the length of each arm / handle is almost long enough for my oversized hands. IF I were to complain about anything to do with this print it would be to say that the holder doesnt do its job very well, but I've no need to complain as I dont use the holder anyway, lol. Great print, works as advertised. I would take a pic n post it, but I printed it in puke green n theres no need to make y'all sick.

Its great to get detailed feedback, I appreciate the time :). By holder you mean the magnet? If so, I'm using the 10mm version as this sticks to the side so much better. The 6mm version I whack on the back (yeah I've got a few stuck around). Thank you for the response, rating AND Boost 👍
