The Sunlu v2 print profiles include the latest models for this adapter system. The models have been updated to include the SUNLU nameplate and also reduce the amount of material needed for each print. Please refer to the Disclaimer above and also please read the Considerations section below.

Description:

This model widens one side of the spool ring adapter to stabilize a SUNLU 1kg 195x60mm spool while it rotates within a Bambu Lab AMS.
I've tested these adapters on SUNLU PLA and SUNLU PLA Meta spools. I have not tested on SUNLU PLA+ and some people have reported that the PLA+ spools are larger. Please measure your spool before printing.

Instructions:

Print one of each model for a single spool.
Affix the wide spool ring adapter on the right-hand side of the SUNLU spool if you're facing the AMS.
See attached photos.

Considerations:

Print Material: Please print with a basic PLA or PETG to minimize any shrinkage.

So far these work great! Spool #1 stayed in place all the way through until is was empty. Then spool #2 was picked by the AMS. It's only been a couple of days, but my feeding issues due to the spool jumping appears to have been resolved.

good fit but the problem with the feeding is not fixed

The filament is stuck in the toolhead. manually pulling a bit makes it work but the auto retract back to the roll after the print is not working on sunlu filament. even with these buffers

I get that also on some of my Sunlu spools. I always just thought it was the filament itself, as in sticky ingredients or something along those lines. The reason I actually designed these adapters is because the Sunlu spools were tilting sometimes when rotating in the AMS. I designed the adapters to match the diameter and width of Bambu Lab spools so they're stabilized in the AMS and rotate more smoothly.

I printed two of these narrow (left side) adapter rings and used the Dry Box Cereal Box Spool Hygrometer (https://makerworld.com/en/models/215704) to allow my Sunlu TPU to feed from the dry box. I had to switch the 608 bearings to the inside to match where they fit on these adapters, but it’s working great. I did try to use the wider right side adapter, but it didn’t fit in the channel from that project. Thanks for creating these adapters!
