Description

EDIT: Added some wider tapered sides to the guide as it could get caught on spools with large openings on the spools, need feedback if anyone still has this issue!

This is the newest version of the filament guide for my AMS saver that works amazing! This version has a more tapered inlet like the one on the AMS feeder so when it gets to the end of a spool it will be able to pulled the bent end of the filament through. The next best part is this one actually threads on to the bowden tube and bites in very well so no more chance of them falling off on a retraction and getting tangled in the spool. My tests were done in PETG on the P1S using generic PETG profile and fit perfect with the Bambu PTFE tubes. If you find them too tight or too loose either scale them a bit or adjust your flow rate. As they are you do have to put a bit of force to thread them on, let me know how the work for you!

The arrow side faces up to the lid on install!

As another person mentioned, since these aren't rounded they get stuck on any holes in the sides of the spools. Caught it in the act with a Polymaker spool and I had to manually intervene to get the filament loaded. I think adding the threads to something more like the previous design would actually be the best version.

It works, but I had to run a 5/32 drill bit through the hole to make enough room for the pfte tube to fit.

This version is threaded, it's snug but with a bit of force and turning clockwise it will thread on to the ptfe tube

printed great. my 2 bambu printers were in the middle of long prints so opened them up in bambu studio, saved them as stl files and printed them on my flashforge 5M. Thanks for doing this for us.

Worked great (had to reprint due to my own bed issues) but I love the threading that keeps it nice and snug!
