Description

This Pill Box;

  • Hinged,
  • Print in Place print - No need any assembly,
  • Secured snap lid,
  • has 7 Days Compartment.

Dimensions are; 70mm diameter and 25mm height. You may send a message if you want bigger or smaller size.

Print Tips:

The box will be printed less then 2h and weight is 35gr. You may use STL file for your own print profile. If you have a problem for adhesion issue for the Lid (first couple of layer is quite tricky), you can use 'Brim' option. There is one print profile that I upload.

Also, I use variable layer height. At the top, where the hinge located, the layer height is 0.08 to increase the quality of hinge function.

Variable LAyer Height

Hinge Design:

  • It's regular hinge for print in place design.
  • Every lid for each compartment has flexibility to move individually.
  • There is tight tolerance (0.2 mm).

It works for my print but please let me know if you have problem on the hinge system.

Secured Snap Lid:

Generally it's easy to open. But sometimes it's hard to open due to small opening in the middle for your finger. I use bottom side of the box and put my finger from to push the lid instead of pull from top side.

There are section view and focus view for the secure feature.

Printed with PETG, variable layer height, with a brim. Turned out great, the hinges worked flawlessly. I like your use of top surface pattern. Thanks!

Printed at 100% to try it out, then scaled it up to 150% and re-printed it. The locking mechanism was secure, little to no lateral play in the hinges for the 100% scale. Both sizes worked out fine, with the 150% having looser hinges and locking mechanism. This is understandable due to the larger tolerances post scaling. In a way, this is great for older folks whom might not have sufficient dexterity to pry open the tighter lock in the 100% scale print.

thanks for all prints, looks great. just tell me if you need 150% scale version with tighter tolerance? I can do it on design.

This is a great little design. The first attempt without the brim went horribly. Lol. With the brim worked great and I love how it functions. I would suggest finding a way to put some chamfers in place if possible on the bottom to make it a little more "finished". I would also consider putting in your own "support brims" in the model that we can break off. That would make the model a little more soft in use.

Broke after finish. Not useful

Sorry to hear that. Is that possible to share a photo of broken parts? I'm using mine for 3 months.

Would love to make the little fins thicker on the original model! Tried to do it by hand and didnt have much luck. Even with a brim this print keeps failing.

printed it with brim. If printing lids and base in different colors it's different to remove the support so the colors don't overlap.

Had trouble with the adaptive print, but the one with the brim came out perfect.
